Until Spring Break!!! One really, really, REALLY great perk of being in the schools is spring break, along with Christmas break, other random holidays (such as President's Day), and definitely cannot forget summer! It is worth it to receive a lower salary then working 12 months out of the year! I'm telling you--you can't beat it!
I am almost to the point where burn out is hitting so Spring Break is coming at just the right time! Vacation actually starts next Thursday at 2:45--because I get Friday too!
We had our speech meeting today on annual reviews and it is so overwhelming. Please pray for me over the next two months--there is an unbelievable amount of paperwork and meetings that I will soon encounter. Just like everything else though, it too will get done--some way or the other!
The weather has been absolutely beautiful the past couple of days in Greenville--Josh and I are looking forward to different events that happen in Greenville over the spring months. We are hoping we will take advantage of them. Last year it seemed we were too consumed with wedding planning/finding a job/graduating that it was all we could do to stay afloat.
Tomorrow we're headed to Clemson for the baseball game vs. Boston College. I hope the weather will cooperate and allow us to have a fun day in Tiger Town!
Back to Spring Break...my mom and I are headed to New York over the holiday! I have been several times--but this is her first trip, so I am really looking forward to showing her the city. (the little bit that I know of it...) We got tickets to see Wicked--and we will probably be doing lots of tourist-y types of things--but I can't wait! If you have been before and have something/somewhere that we just HAVE to go, please leave a comment so we can make sure we do it! There is so much to see and do that it's easy to overlook things to do. I will post lots of pictures when I get back!

Is it already March?!?!?
I can't believe how the time has flown by! We have SO much been ejoying the spring-like weather and already looking forward to all that comes along with spring! In the months of January and February--we have spent some time with family and friends which has been really good after the craziness of football season! School is going really well for me--IEP "season" is quickly approaching, so it's going to get nuts here pretty soon. Not really looking forward to that, but everything else is great. I've had a good many days off for professional conferences--so that has broken up the mononity of school. I went to Charleston for the Speech and Hearing Conference and got to see lots of friends from graduate school, which was great! It is making me pine for the summer months!
We went to the Clemson baseball game yesterday versus USC...yes, we lost...but it was still great fun to be outside in the great weather in God's country aka Clemson :) We redeemed ourselves last night by beating Maryland in basketball! I will post pictures from the baseball game later...we didn't have the best photographer sitting in front of us, but they will do. We also got to eat at Pot Belly Deli for lunch which is always a great treat. I showed Josh around campus a little bit and walked down memory lane a couple of times.
My co-worker at Pelham Road asked me what it is about Clemson graduates and why they are so obsessed with their alma mater. It's really made me think about how blessed and fortunate I was to spend three years there. I feel cheated not spending my freshman year there. Clemson just gets in your blood and stays there. I am much more proud of my degree from Clemson than mine from USC...even though the masters was lots more work than Clemson's :) It will be very hard for me if our children don't want to attend Clemson. I know I'm probably a little bit more than obsessed with Clemson--I just really love that place.
Gracie is growing like a week! I can't tell if she is full grown now or if she's going to get bigger. She's very petite, which we are hoping she will stay. She has had to stay with "Uncle Matthew" aka Matthew Madden when Josh and I both were out of town for different reasons. She is a load of fun though and continually makes us laugh. We love her so much--I can only imagine what's going to happen with real children. (not that Gracie is really "fake"--but you know what I mean) I have discovered "Three Dog Bakery" in five points in Columbia--they sell doggie treats that are so cute! Gracie LOVES them all! She currently has tried the doggie canolies, doggie smores, pupcakes, and macaroon cookies. She is spoiled rotten, that is for sure--but it is just so cute! Maggie (my dog that lives with my mom) doesn't like to sleep on her new bed that mom had bought her--so Gracie has now inherited that as well. She really is our little princess in the pea. I will post recent pictures of her too--you won't believe how much she has grown!
Besides our home, we made our first "big" purchase--we bought an LCD! Josh has been wanting one for a long time so we finally broke down and did it! It's like having a movie theater in your house...it's amazing! I will post pictures of it too :)
