Two Gurls and a Guy

Josh makes the best homemade pizza in the world. Seriously--he has perfected it the past year and a half we've been married. I should have taken a picture of it--we had it last night. As we were eating, I told Josh he should open a pizzeria. He told me he would name it "Two gurls and a guy"--the two "gurls" being me and Gracie Belle. I thought Gracie could be the greeter and we could possibly dress her in a pizza costume. Doesn't that sound like the classiest of all establishments? Maybe one day...along with my cupcakery, baby boutique, and all the other things I'd do if we had a ten million dollars.

The Costa Clan comes for a visit!

Chris had clinicals in Greenville--so I was super pumped when Amy told me her and Noah were coming to hang out with me. I had a great time catching up even more with her from the last time I saw her. Seeing her twice in a month is somewhat of a miracle. Noah was on his absolute best behavior--he didn't cry a peep throughout the night (not that I would have heard him anyway...I sleep like a rock!)

I cooked dinner for us the night she spent the night...it was a good excuse to eat salmon! We both ate every last bite of it!

Glad you got to visit, lamb!

I caught Noah trying to suck his finger! Amy always thought he was trying to rip his NAM off so she wouldn't let him do it. I had to capture the moment on camera...(Just don't let him suck it when he's like 5!)

Guess I should update, huh?

Sorry for the lag in posts. My computer had a million viruses and mr. district computer man came to erase my entire computer and re-configured everything. This also led to my Kodak Gallery being erased from the computer--therefore, my pictures have no where to go when I hook the USB up to it. Computer's confused, no pictures equals NO BLOG entrys! All that to say...I am going to write this entry with the hopes I can figure out the picture situation!
I'll try to hit the highs of the past couple of weeks:
Valentine's Day--
Josh left Saturday morning and headed out to get me beautiful red roses and Dunkin' Donuts Munchkins!! What a surprise! We LOVE munchkins!
We planned a relaxing, quiet, stay at home for dinner Valentines and it was fantastic! Last year we went to High Cotton--this year we grilled out and had fondue for dessert and it was perfect! We went to Fresh Market together--Josh chose a steak, I chose stuffed chicken--we both had asparagus and potatoes. It was such a delicious meal! We ended our meal with chocolate fondue. Our friend Jon bought us an awesome fondue pot for a wedding gift--not something we use everyday, but something we REALLY enjoy when we pull it out. It's great to get as a gift, because who would spend the money to buy one for themselves?? We love it! We dipped marshmallows, strawberries, and (our favorite) bananas in delicous fondue!

Vitamin D!

Thank Goodness for some nice weather around here! It has been a welcomed sight for sure! I think I was getting that seasonal affect disorder--it had been too gloomy for too many days. We enjoyed this past weekend out and about Greenville with no real plans...just enjoying the beautiful days.
Friday night we went to Trio's for dinner--I enjoyed my usual penne goat pasta and Josh had roasted chicken. Saturday, my amazingly patient husband rode with me to the grand ol' town of Iva to look at cheap fabric with me. (I mean, the price was cheap...not the quality!) It was an eye opening experience, for sure. I will try to talk my mom into going with me next time versus my dear husband--fabric shopping is not his most favorite thing to do--for obvious reasons. We ate lunch with the Vickery's at Matty's in downtown Anderson. It was a great time to catch up on the way to fabric shopping!
We didn't do too much Saturday night--we watched Clemson lose a miserable game to FSU! :( Hopefully they'll jump back on the winning bandwagon tonight!
Sunday we went to church, ate lunch at home, and took gracie to Falls Park (along with every other soul that lives in Greenville county). We enjoyed a nice walk along the trail and some ice cream from Spill the Beans following our trek. There is a new yogurt shop called Blueberry Frog--I am now dying to try it. We noticed it after we had ordered at Spill the Beans. Hopefully the weather trend will stay warm and we'll get to try it this weekend!
Another busy week is here...looking forward to a short week and SCSHA with the girls!

Finally February!

I was pumped to change my classroom calander at school to February today! January seemed to drag on endlessly and I'm glad a new month has arrived! (Besides...one month closer to summer!)

This past weekend Josh and Gracie had a Greenville weekend and I drove to Columbia Friday night and Charleston on Saturday. I was able to go to dinner with Banks and my mom on Friday and Mom and I went to the movies aftewards. We went to see New in Town and it was a fantastic, rediculously funny chick flick. I highly recommend it--it's the best girl movie I've seen in quite a while. You will love it! It was due time for Rene to come out with a great new film. Harry Conick Jr. is also in the movie--I think he is highly annoying--but not in the least throughout the movie. Don't let that hold you back from going to see it...

Saturday I woke up fairly early and headed to Charleston meet Baby Noah. I was so glad for the opportunity to meet him and catch up with Amy. He is absolutely precious...I loved getting to hold him and snuggle. Amy is a great mommy and I loved seeing her interact with him. She kissed his sweet head at least a thousand times while I was there. :) She's a natural. Amy was also the most gracious host and fed me yummy lasagna for lunch...as well as some yummy pb m&m's. Thanks amy for sharing your day with me and letting me love up on your little man. I can't wait to see him again soon.

Me, Noah, and Lamb. Seriously...did she just have a baby four weeks ago? Give me a BREAK! Noah was not happy at this point...he was hungry and ready for his mommy and not his Aunt Brooke.

On my way back to Greenville from Charleston, I met my mom at a new bakery in Lexington. Actually--it's called a cupcakery. Let's just say it's a darn good thing we don't live there because I would have 300 pounds from eating a new flavor each day. I must admit, I'm pretty jealous--I would LOOOOVE to own my own cupcakery.

Yesterday, Josh and I went to church, ate lunch out, and came home and planted ourselves on the couch for the duration of the afternoon. It was sheer bliss. We did bathe Gracie and she looks and smells like a normal dog again. The weekend flew by and here we are at another week! Hope you all have a great one!
