PC Visit

Ellie and I made a last minute decision to stop by PC on the way home from meeting Grammy -- we had a cupcake at Yo Cup and she had fun running around the lawn and seeing where Daddy went to college.  Josh ended up meeting us and we ate dinner at Whitefords!

Big girl.  Can't believe we are two months from her turning 5!

Riverbanks (Thomas' first trip!)

One beautiful Thursday -- I packed the kids up and we made the trek to Columbia for Thomas' first real trip to the zoo.  He had been when he was maybe a month old and then he's been to Boo at the Zoo twice but never during the day where he got to see the animals.  He ate it up!  He couldn't have loved it more.
Grammy treated them to all the extras this trip -- bird feeding, pony rides, train rides, giraffe and goat feedings, and carousel rides -- rotten babies!
I thought T was going to be nervous riding the train without me -- but nope!  He was just pissed about having to get off when the ride was over.  Sweet baby loved it!
Ellie was the bravest as she's ever been feeding the giraffes.

Thomas, on the other hand, was not so sure.

We can't wait to go back this summer!  Riverbanks is our favorite!!

How I Became a Pirate

Back in January, Ellie and Josh went to see How I Became a Pirate at the children's theater.  As always, meeting the characters is her favorite!

Arizona

Josh and I made a last minute, full of emotion decision during the 4th quarter of the Orange Bowl to go to Arizona to see Clemson play for the National Championship in January.  The outcome wasn't what we had hoped for but the trip was once in a lifetime and we have no regrets!
Ellie and Thomas obviously just cheered from home!
It was a whirlwind three day trip -- with terrible flights -- we did the best we could, given that we had a week to book the trip and everyone and their mother was attempting flights to Phoenix from South Carolina.  We flew in Saturday and drove from Las Vegas up to Freeport and spent the night in a hotel.  We woke up to a winter wonderland -- it was breathtaking and beautiful.  We then took the scenic trip from Freeport down to Glendale -- we were able to see the Red Rocks and a part of the country that none of us had ever seen before.
Monday was all about the game -- we found a hotel close to the stadium and we spent the day finding people we knew and tailgating.  Josh and I chose to go into the stadium very early because it was SO cold but we were able to see Dabo and Deshaun Watson come onto the field to take it all in before heading to change for warm ups.  Seeing our beloved tigers on that level of playing field was so awesome!  We have high hopes that we'll be able to return next year in Tampa!
