Week 3 of Summer!

We started off week 3 heading to the zoo with some of Ellie's friends from school!  We checked out Riverbank's new sea lion exhibit first - it is super impressive.

 Thomas loved watching the brown bears - he ripped down a tree in the exhibit!

 Ellie started gymnastics and she is OBSESSED.  Loves it!  She counts down until her next class.

 Ellie got a summer cut -

 and had her 5 year well visit.  How in the world?  33 lbs of sass.

 We drove to Lexington Friday night to break up our beach drive.  I told Thomas Saturday morning we were going to change clothes and he said "no, wear dis."  I told him no and he asked "why?" -- Thomas is my "why-er"?  He asks me approximately 50 times a day.

 We made it to the beach and first stop was the pool!

 Thomas had forgotten how great the beach is!

 Summer sweetness!

Week 2 of Summer!

I'm in denial that summer is literally FLYING by - and very much behind in updating the blog.  We have stayed super busy this summer and having lots of fun!

 Ellie completed her second year of VBS at Mt. Horeb in Lexington - it's just about the highlight of her summer!  She LOVES it and we are still singing the songs.

 Thomas continues to love dip and cheese!  He just licks whatever he's dipping to get the dip off.  He is a MESS and just all boy and just gross by the time we get through the day and get him in the bath.

 We have gotten lots of time with Mary Hayes and Sally this summer!  We love to meet friends at Rush's for lunch!

 Thomas was all smiles that he survived swim lessons and they were over!

 Sweet Ms Sarah was Thomas' swim coach too!

 We had a full day of playing and then went to swim with friends and Thomas was OUT like a light when he got in his car seat.

 On Saturday we hit the trails in Dupont Forest and we had lots of fun as a family.

 These two were troopers and hiked so well.  We will definitely do this again soon!

 They LOVED the water and waterfalls.

 We wrapped up with lunch at Farm Burger and had a sweet ice cream treat!

 Sunday we went downtown to celebrate Father's Day at Nantucket for brunch
