- I love how it is called "Morning" sickness. There is absolutely nothing "morning" about it for me. I have coined it "All Day" sickness. I will say, though, that the sickness has given me confidence that everything is going well and each time I have been sick, I am thankful. When I had a rare morning that I wasn't sick, it only caused worry--so call me crazy, but I feel blessed to have that assuredness throughout the first trimester.
- Zofran is a gift from God. A sweet little pill sent down from heaven. On days when the nausea would/will not abate, one tiny round pill and I feel like a new woman!
- I have been going to bed early--around 8:30. Prior to pregnancy, I was in bed around 9/9:30 anyway, so I can't say that its been a huge difference. I haven't taken an abundance of naps--mainly on Sundays. I have always required a lot of sleep, so the "exhaustion" symptom hasn't phased me as much as I know it does other people.
- Clothes. I sometimes use the "Bella Band" due to pants not being comfortable when they are buttoned, but overall--I'm still in my regular pants. I have a slight pudge, but you more than likely wouldn't know it unless I pointed it out.
- Food. I haven't had any cravings, but I have had many aversions. I try to eat at least a big breakfast and lunch, because typically I do not feel like eating dinner. I am hoping that the night sickness is ending soon--I have cooked an average of 1 meal every 2 weeks.
- Drink. Gatorade and Sweet Tea are my favorite drinks. I limit the tea to one every couple of days. I live off of Gatorade. I never drank either of these prior to pregnancy--but regular water is hard for me to get down. I have tried ginger ale and sprite and they are too sweet--I sometimes drink OJ in the morning.
- Josh. He has been a champ throughout the past couple of months. He has been such a huge help--never complaining about having to fix his own dinners or cleaning the bathroom or running errands for me. He has dealt with my intensified stress and anxiety, along with any crazy hormonal days I have. I am hoping that now that the 2nd trimester is here, that I'll be able to contribute more to the household!
I will say...I cannot complain about one thing this pregnancy has brought me. Every time I have an ultrasound or look at a picture from the ultrasounds, everything is always brought into perspective and I thank God for allowing me to experience every symptom that I have.
