First things first...My images are now showing up in HTML codes as I am in the "compose" section. Very annoying. Anyone have any tips?
We went to see "Shutter Island" last weekend. I was anticipating a freakishly scary movie--but I only had to close my eyes one or two times througout the entire movie. It's got a good twist and keeps you guessing the entire movie. Worth checking out!
I am currently OBSESSED with this book. Cannot put it down. Haven't been able to say that about a book in quite a while.
I am always proud to be an American...but my heart is so full everytime the Olympics are on. We have faithfully watched every night for the past two weeks and are pretty bummed the closing ceremonies are tonight. (Who knew I liked hockey?) Speaking of hockey...I was checking FB status' and everyone was saying "GO USA!". Banks' said "Go Tigers...we need this win tonight." Only Banks...he doesn't read this blog so I can get away with writing about him :)
This is what our new dining room table has turned into...a sewing corner. I lugged all my supplies from upstairs to downstairs. The clutter is getting on my nerves and I must get it back upstairs--but in the meantime, I'm getting lots of sewing complete!
Finally, a friend of mine gave me the starter for Amish Friendship bread. I have enjoyed baking it and feeding it every ten days...and having bread to give people! I always have extra "starter", so if you're interested and want me to pass some on...let me know! The bread is delicious with lots of variations to it.
On a funny note, I was over at Kelli's house and we were talking about all the dresses in the hypothetical baby's closet that I have sewn. Chad, Kelli's husband said--so what if you have all boys? I said, well--I guess they will look like a bunch of sissy's. He looked at Kelli like What in THE world? It was hilarious--If we have all boys, NO worries friends...I will not dress my boys in the dresses. I'm sure Durham or Lael or Campbell or SOME little girl will get some wear from the fruit of my labor :)
Mix together in a fondue pot (or, I'm sure a regular ol' pot would work beautifully as well)
Slice up whatever you want to dip in the chocolate.....and EAT UP!

The gothic lighting fixture will be the first thing to go. It is complete with fake melting candles for the lights. An arrangement for the table will be added along with a mirror, a larger rug and drapes for the window treatment.
I have longed for a china hutch long before I was of "normal" age to long for furniture. I love china and can't wait to display it instead of being packed away!

James made an appearance at the end of the shower! I was happy to see this sweet boy and give him Aunt Brookie kisses!!
