Fastest year EVER. Also, the craziest and the hardest year ever...but we survived!
Thomas had a great one-year well visit with Dr Dobson. He looked fantastic on his developmental milestones and his growth checked out perfectly.
Weight: 21 lbs
Height: 30.5"
He is a WILD man. Into absolutely everything and 100% boy. He keeps us on our toes and we can't turn around for a second or he will have his hands splashing in the toilet or will be halfway up the stairs. All things Ellie never did, so it is a learning curve for us.
He is down to one bottle at night (getting 2oz) -- we're finishing up the can of formula and then that bottle will be dropped too.
He's taking 2 naps a day -- we got past the horrible teething and his naps have improved so much. Even when he doesn't take naps, he will lay contently in bed talking to himself, playing with his lovie, and sucking his thumb. He is just the happiest and most content baby love.
He is taking 7-8 steps but still needs to gain some balance before he's a full on walker. He has also learned to push himself up from the floor to a standing position.
He loves balls, pushing his trucks, the vacuum, and BOOKS. He LOVES books. Watching him independently flip through them when he is in the playroom is just about the sweetest thing ever. and when I read to him, it is just about the only time that he will sit still.
His hair is turning more blonde as we spend more time out in the sun and his skin is also getting tan. I'm not sure, given his hair and eye color, if he will tan as well as Ellie does -- we will see!
He still loves the bath -- one of his favorite times of the day.
He has started babbling and talking like crazy this month. He has a word for "balloon" and "doggie" -- two of his favorites. He also says mama, daddy, bye bye, and more.
The little turkey does not want to clap. He knows what we mean when we tell him to clap but he won't do it independently. He throws his hand up in the air to wave but doesn't flick his hand quite yet.
He thinks being outside and riding in his coupe is the best thing EVER. It is his happy face. He has been happy as a lark, playing out on the deck in his water pirate table and the sand box. We have gone to the pool once as well and I thought he was going to dive fast first. He is going to be my water baby.
Thomas Banks -- words aren't adequate for how much we love you! We think you hung the moon!
Happy 1st Birthday, Precious One!
